2. Principle: your charging data stays on your device
Text recognition of screenshots and creation of the PDF proof run entirely in your browser. Screenshots, charging sessions, name, employer and number plate are not transmitted to us. So that you don't have to enter your details again next month, your name, employer, number plate, car and data source, whether you have already signed up, and your choice of language and colour theme (light/dark) are kept in your browser's local storage (localStorage). You can delete this data at any time in your browser settings.
3. Hosting
This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 512 2nd Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit the site, Netlify processes technically necessary data such as IP address, date and time of access and browser information in order to deliver and secure the website. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and reliable operation). Netlify is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, so transfers to the USA are based on the European Commission's adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR); in addition, Netlify's data processing agreement provides for standard contractual clauses.
4. Beta sign-up, reminders and app notification
If you sign up or ask to be notified when the app launches, we store your email address, your consent and your optional answers (car brand, current way of documenting, willingness to pay), as well as the number of charging sessions, the kWh total, the chosen price option and the data source of your proof. The purpose is to remind you at month end, inform you about the app beta and improve the product. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you can withdraw at any time by email or via the unsubscribe link. The data is stored via Netlify Forms. To send the emails we use Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, 106 Boulevard Haussmann, 75008 Paris, France) as a processor; your email address is only stored there and used for reminders after you have confirmed your sign-up via the link in the confirmation email (double opt-in). The data is deleted when you withdraw your consent or the project is discontinued.
5. Feedback
If you write to us using the feedback form, we store the chosen topic, your message, the features you ticked, the app or car you named and, if you provide it, your email address. We also send a rough description of device type, browser and window width (for example "iOS / Safari / 390px"), whether you created a PDF in this session, the page language and the link you came from. The purpose is to handle your feedback, reproduce bugs and improve the service; we only use your email address to reply to you, never for marketing. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in handling enquiries and improving the service). The data is stored with Netlify (see section 3) and deleted as soon as it is no longer needed for this purpose, at the latest after 12 months.
6. Anonymous usage statistics
Each time a PDF is created, we transmit, without name, email address or charging data: the number of charging sessions, the kWh total, the price option, the data source, the billing month, whether text recognition was used, the page language and the link you came from (for example a forum, identified by the "?von=" link suffix, or the domain of the referring page). Nothing is stored in your browser for this. This information does not allow conclusions about your identity and serves to develop the service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). No cookies and no third-party tracking services are used.
7. No external content
Fonts, text recognition and PDF generation are loaded from our own server. No content from Google or other third parties is embedded.
8. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent you have given. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, write to us at rakesh (at) sublimecoder (dot) io.
